That's right - if you're paying even ZERO attention...EGGS A LA MOE! Y'Know, where the eggs DON'T get flipped yet the chicken ass germs DON'T cause salmonella because they have SEALED OVER plus the yolks remain liquid due to heat application, owing to the fact that a lid has been applied to the pan to achieve this effect.

PEOPLE- get with the program fer chrissake!!!!

Note: eggs never actually act as glasses for the real Lex10 - I mean, what the hell do you think?!?!?!? They're Eggs! Ya can't see through them!!! Well, maybe the whites when they're raw, but - ew.....

NOW PAY THE *&%# ATTENTION......pretty please beloved visitors......

Poor Retarded Dog
...as my youngest daughter put it- watch as Terrytoons' Heckle and Jeckle psychologically torture the "stupid dog" from their oeuvre. It's exquisite, and that's why these magpies (apparently almost nonexistent in the USA!- USA!- USA!- yet copious in the UK) have the upper hand. Moral of the story: Don't be a stupid jerkoff.

Working out how to best print these in preparation for sale....Backs will have a fave song lyric instead of stats. Teams and stuff like that is purely dictated by what I found searching vs. head size...
Also, there's a little "WTF?!?! moment at the bottom.
All cards link to the total collection page.

Enjoy!

and as so many bad interoffice joke emails say, "wait for it......"

More Robot Fun: What Does Robby Do When He's Alone?
This was on TV and it stopped me dead in my tracks. Thanks to DVR, I went back and shot it off the screen, there are subtitles, because I couldn't believe my ears. Very short so pay attention & most of all, enjoy this self-writing burlesque blackout-style gag.

A Response/Add On To "Poon is a Hug"
When I first saw this in the film "Don't Knock the Rock" my eyeballs almost fell outta my head.

Years later, I got to meet a couple of the remaining Treniers at Resorts International, in the hole known as A.C. Nice guys. seemed a little embarassed about this performance, though - perhaps it was because they had become so lounge and mature.

We did not poon upon departing, by the way........

The entry "A Poon is a Hug" can be found here.

OK, I think I'm back...........................maybe

Listen, I don't know, spit in the ocean, little pebble on the sand, lost out here in the stars, etc., etc., etc.,. Have you an allegory for resolving ennui? I think there's probably a word that's needed that describes resolve of enniu, like, schmepiphany, or, donkeycarrot, or vivapersonatus, or craeinne.
I'm still chock full of interestingness, and plan to deploy it....now. And ongoing,

Need I say it?!?! from the Glyphjockey collection.
See you tomorrow, my very, very, special bitches.
Lastly one more thing:

Sequitur: a Flash Comic + Weirdness
I'm working on a concept piece using "Three Quarter Covers" comics (comics remaindered but given credit for by returning the title area or the top quarter of the cover to the distributor) called Sequitur, using largely non-verbal panels to form a concept stream.

Don't yew judge me! Don't judge me!

The picture immediately below is a link to SEQUITUR

BUT That's not all!!!

I found a couple of other oddities while collecting the images for Sequitur:

First, this pre-Bruno Magli OJ Simpson ad for Dingo boots!

(Link to bigger on click)

Next, this LOLmeme panel from 77 Sunset Strip Comics

Lastly, Barney Bear trying to get his chickens to explore alternative lifestyles....

Link to bigger above^^

The chickens looked shocked, I must admit.

What's inside my brain today?
This pretty much sums up the core visual theme for me from my earlist childhood memories
-of smoke wafting off the pages of a flip book that had Roy Rogers firing his six-shooter - I swore it happened...
-of my sister preventing me from looking at the rainbow-colored box a plunger-style top came in, its compelling colors tractor-beaming my mind
-of the lady on Romper Room turning to me adressing me personally
-of flicker cards
-of little viewers that were junk
-of Kenner Give-A-Show
-of Viewmaster

YOU REALLY, REALLY NEED TO CLICK ON THIS PICTURE TO SEE THE BIG ONE. REALLY.

Know my brain. It's safe to do so.

On Behalf of my Daughter -The Birthday Girl
Happy Birthday, M.K. my M.B.
In your honor, here's a tribute to something you hipped me to:

The Life of Riley starring William Bendix:

You, falling asleep to it in your room night after night, me, wondering about its staying power. I was too young to grow up with radio, but it was easy to see this was expert writing suited to the medium. "What a revoltin' development!" became part of the phraseology around here, and Digger O'Dell one of the ghosts that haunted our senses of humor.

But William Bendix wasn't good as Riley because he got lucky. He had a prodigious career, and if you never experience him in anything else, see him in Lifeboat if you haven't yet. It was post-Riley that I reexperienced his performance for the brilliance that it was.

This picture links to archive.org's complete listing of episodes in .mp3 format

This picture below is a link to 174 streaming episodes of the Life of Riley. He's bound to do a couple of his meat commercials in there somewhere.

Here's his IMDb listing
Here's a (it's amazing!) tool that shows when he'll be on U.S. TV next
And here's his Wikipedia entry

Happy Birthday, and....................poopoopeepee!!!!!

Crap Nancy 1
Hey, Dell comics are good comics.......they insist every issue.

I don't know who did this but it's not Bushmiller, more like his beatnik nephew or something....

But, y'know, Nancy looked like this pretty much for much of my later childhood I guess.

My favorite thing is that the first bug she sees is a house centipede.

Placeholder in Your Fevered Brain
Picture it: You're 8, you've got the flu, and your lying there, with only this beaten up coverless comic within reach. The content is dreary, like Ozzie & Harriet only with animals, but you read on, because it's all you're capable of.

Out of your haze an alternate reality arises, gels, and becomes real. The ape dad is your Dad, the little bear is your pal, Kenny, and the little girl is either your sister or Judy from up the street. You're now walking around in the comic, they are talking to you.

You exist there.

You've escaped. It's all an illusion. Hold on to that.

Let's All Dance To .......ROCK N' ROLL !!
A friend loaned this to me back in my filmmaking days, and I thought it could be used as background music. He never got it back. It still could be.

I haven't heard it yet so bear with me. From vinyl, so anything goes. I do recommend skipping the two "unnamed" tracks (despite the fact that they're at the top of the widget). Those particular tracks are swing-ish which leads me to wonder if this is the same Hen Gates that played with Dizzy Gillespie..

It rocks tho, saxophonishly, what I've heard...... in a just-shy-of-Las-Vegas-Grind sort of way.

Rock on rockers in your rock world, rock on.

Personally, I say skip the unnamed tracks......

Bad Andy !! Better yet, Supa-bad Andy !!!!!!!!!
The song Mama Guitar is from A Face in the Crowd, a movie that Andy Griffith starred in. It's really cool - hard to believe good ol' Andy Taylor could be such a badass. This song is in the background of a scene where a leering Andy (playing "Lonesome" Rhodes) watches a twirling contest. The juxatposition of the music and the look of Lonesome's ill-intent crescendo exquisitely uncomfortably. This is why we watch [good] movies: something is being said on many levels at once and the whole of that experience is worth more than the sum of the parts (so let's add to that juxtaposition the mise-en-scene & cutting). Mama Guitar is a far cry from his "What it was, was football" bumpkin routines. It rocks!
