My Tribute to Wilson Pickett
For you appreciation: here's the front and back covers to "Land of a Thousnd Dances" b/w "Midnight Hour" on Philco Hip-Pocket records, which we used to buy at the 7-11 around the time the Slurpee was invented. As shown, they were 69 cents and inside was a flexi-disc about 2.5" across. On the back it says, "For single play phonograph only." so we had to play them at my friend Billy Collister's house because his Dad worked maintenance at a high class school in North Jersey and he "appropriated" a classroom player - the kind that have the spring loaded turntable and absolutely no automatic features.
